Downy Sage, Roseleaf Sage or Tarantula Sage (<i>Salvia puberula</i>), a shrubby perennial native to Mexico. Its light green leaves are covered with fine, downy hairs, as are the heads of showy pink flowers. This species is very similar to Salvia involucrata but differs in small botanical details, generally has lighter green leaves and begins to flower a little later.
