Salvia bulleyana, an early to midsummer-flowering perennial native to western China. The flowering stems are up to 1m tall and the yellow flowers have a very distinctive red-brown patch on the lower lobe. This is an example of mimicry as the patch resembles a bumble bee and aids in attracting bees to pollinate the flowers. Order: Lamiales, Family: Lamiaceae
