Loganberry (Rubus x loganobaccus), a raspberry x blackberry hybrid, probably between the cultivars 'Red Antwerp' and 'Aughinburgh', that occurred accidentally around 1880 on James. Logan's farm at Santa. Cruz, California. Loganberries have the colour of a blackberry but are sweeter and much longer than the largest raspberries or blackberries. The boysenberry is a development produced by crossing the loganberry with a dewberry and it has proved more popular due to its more intense flavour.
