The autumn foliage of Chinese Sassafras or Tzumu (Sassafras tzumu), a 30m tall deciduous tree native to central and western China. Small yellow flowers appear in spring to early summer and on female trees are followed by blue-black fruits in red-stemmed cups. The foliage is aromatic and often colours well in autumn.
