Grey Willow or Grey Sallow (Salix cinerea), a large deciduous shrub or small tree, up to 10m tall, found over much of Europe, western Asia and into North Africa. It is a tough, adaptable plant that has become a weed in some areas. The young leaves have pale, downy undersides and its spring-borne catkins are rich in nectar.
