Common Hedge. Parsley (Torilis arvensis), a 30-60cm tall, spring- to early summer-flowering hardy annual that is widely considered to be a minor weed. Its tiny white flowers are followed by seedpods covered with tiny hooks. The pods are very difficult to removed from clothing, hence one of the common names: sock-destroyer.
