Common Hedge. Parsley (Torilis arvensis), a 30-60cm tall, spring- early summer-flowering hardy annual that is widely considered to be a minor weed. Its minute tiny flowers are followed by small seedpods covered with minute hooks. The seedpods stick to clothing and are difficult to remove, hence one of the common names: sock destroyer.
