The bark of Quercus x rosacea, a natural hybrid between the sessile oak (Quercus petraea) and the common oak (Quercus robur) that occurs where their ranges overlap. The parent species are quite similar in appearance and Quercus x rosacea has leaves similar in size and shape to those of Quercus robur, but with the shallow, slightly forward-facing lobes of Quercus petraea
