Tayberry with just pollinated flowers. This hybrid between a blackberry (<i>Rubus fruticosus</i>) and a raspberry (<i>Rubus idaeus</i>) was developed in the 1970s by Derek. Jennings of Dundee, Scotland. The fruit, which develops early, is well-flavoured, closer to raspberry than a blackberry, but has a smooth texture like a blackberry. Order: Rosales, Family: Rosaceae
