Puya mirabilis, a Bolivian terrestrial bromeliad that forms a basal foliage rosette, form which develops a flower stem to 15m tall. The pendulous, tubular, greenish-yellow flowers open in summer to early autumn. Each foliage rosette is up to 60cm high and the plant quickly forms a clump to over 2m wide
