Rhododendron 'Medusa' (<i>Rhododendron scyphocalyx</i> x <i>Rhododendron griersonianum</i>), a 1.2m high x 1.5m wide evergreen shrub with orange-red bell-shaped flowers in an open, cascading truss. The foliage is a light mid-green with a thin indumentum on the undersides. It was raised by Aberconway of Wales and introduced in 1936. Order: Ericales, Family: Ericaceae
