<i>Rhododendron</i> 'Princess Alice' (<i>Rhododendron ciliatum</i> x <i>Rhododendron edgeworthii</i>), a reasonably compact, fragrant-flowered hybrid raised by Veitch's Nursery of England around 1860. It grows to around 1.2m tall x 1.5m wide. Although an old hybrid it remains popular as it is one of the few of its type that does not sprawl and become 'leggy'. Order: Ericales, Family: Ericaceae
