Flowers of the Brush Box, Queensland. Box or Brisbane. Box (Lophostemon confertus [syn. Tristania conferta]), a large-leaved evergreen tree native to coastal. New South Wales and Queensland, Australia. It grows to around 35m tall, has milky sap and in spring and early summer produces heads of white flowers with whorls of stamens.
