Raoulia australis, a New Zealand scabweed found in from the coast to quite high altitudes. It usually grows as a very flat mat but can mound somewhat at the centre. In summer it often turns golden with masses of petalless flowerheads. The example shown here was growing on windswept coastal dunes and developed an unusual hummock shape as the sand around it was continually eroded away by the wind
