Japanese Evergreen Spice Bush (Lindera aggregata subsp. aggregata), an evergreen shrub, around 15m high and wide, native to Japan and nearby parts of China. It has yellow-cream flowers that are followed by soft fruits that blacken when ripe. Long used in Chinese remedies, the plant has recently been shown to have medicinal value.
