In the foreground is Bower Spinach (Tetragonia implexicoma), a spreading trailing plant found in coastal areas around New Zealand and nearby islands, including the Chathams. It also occurs in southeastern Australia and on Lord. HoweIsland It has red stems, succulent bright green leaves, and small yellow flowers that are followed by red fruits.
