Coprosma atropurpurea (Syn. Coprosma petrei var. atropurpurea), a very small ground-hugging subshrub found in the subalpine and alpine regions of New Zealand It is very similar to Coprosma petrei and often occurs in the same places. It can be distinguished by its sparsely hairy foliage and darker blue to purple-blue fruits that are often partly covered by the foliage. Order: Gentianales, Family: Rubiaceae
