Persicaria amplexicaulis (syn. Polygonum amplexicaule</i>) 'Alba', a white-flowered cultivar of a late summer- to autumn-blooming knotweed found in the Himalayas from Afghanistan to southwestern China and Bhutan. The species grows to over 1m tall and has very vivid flowers that may be pink, red, or more rarely purple or white, as in this cultivar.
