Reddish-bronze new growth on Twiggy. Heath. Myrtle (Sannantha virgata [syns. Babingtonia virgata, Baeckea virgata]), an evergreen, 2m high and wide shrub found in a small area in the ranges of northeastern Victoria, Australia. It has small, narrow leaves that taper to a sharp point and an abundance of tiny white to cream flowers from late spring. It could easily be mistaken for a Leptospermum species but is generally smaller and less robustly built in both leaf and flowers.
